| Week of September 25, 2006 | MOHAVE IN-SERVICE: Bette, Steven, Bob and Dila will be attending the annual Mohave In-service this Friday, September 29th. Charlene will be in the office to service our member needs. MOHAVE EXPO: Our annual Mohave Expo is scheduled for Friday, October 27th from 9:00 to 3:00 at the Mesa Convention Center. For more info, check out our website at www.mesc.org. We would love to see you there! HALLOWEEN COOKIE REMINDER: The cut off date for ordering Halloween cookies from Shamrock Foods is October 6th. If you want these cookies, please be sure to order them before the cut-off date. NOI REMINDER: It is very important that each of you that are participating in the Net-Off Invoice program this year monitor your balances on the K12 website. Many of our members are already out of bank. As you know, once the bank has been depleted, your district will be charged the “commercial” price for items ordered. It is also very important that you contact your broker to be sure the program is established properly for your district. ARIZONA NUTRITION STANDARDS: We have had a lot of questions about the new Arizona Nutrition Standards. (ANS) These standards apply to all k-8 schools in Arizona. It is important to note that the standards apply ONLY to those items you sell a la carte. Your school breakfast and lunch items fall under the School Meals Initiative (SMI) standards. As always, your school meals are analyzed on a weekly basis, not per item. They ONLY part of the ANS that applies to school breakfast and lunch is that you cannot deep fry any of the products. utilize some of our old office furnishings.
We have 5 ft.
high partitions (gray) and some modular desk fixtures. If your
district
could use the partitions, we would be happy to donate them
to you. They will be offered as is and you would need to pick
them
up at

Please see the attachment with this update for more information. MILK AND COLD STORAGE PRICING: Milk and cold storage pricing from Shamrock Foods for the month of September is included as an attachment to this update. 8 OZ. PLASTIC MILK: Shamrock Dairy will be offering low fat milk in 8 oz. plastic bottles this year. THE PRICE FOR ALL FLAVORS WILL BE .2398. The pricing will fluctuate from month to month with the Milk Market Orders, just like the cartons of milk. The dairy anticipates the product will be available within the next couple of weeks.
