| Week of March 31, 2008 | MARK YOUR CALENDARS: We will have our annual ASPIN Advisory Committee meeting on Friday, April 11th at the Humboldt Unified District Office from 10:00 ñ 2:00. All ASPIN members are welcome and encouraged to come! This is our one opportunity each year to get together! Invitations were mailed to all members. In addition, you can find more information about this event as an attachment to this update. We hope to see you all there! ASPIN INVOICES: We want to thank all of our ASPIN members for their timely payment of ASPIN invoices. This has been the best year yet! Members are doing a great job and earning the most interest possible in the ASPIN holding fund. ASPIN EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE: We are looking for candidates to run for the ASPIN Executive Committee. Serving on the committee gives you the opportunity to lead ASPIN as we continue to grow and meet the needs of our members. We typically have 4 meetings per year. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Bette. UPCOMING REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS: All of our contracts expire at the end of this school year. We will be issuing RFPís on April 11th and they will be due back to Mohave on May 8th. We hope to have several vendors interested in our proposals. If you have products that you want included on our ìAî list for next year, please e-mail those items to Bette at bette@mesc.org. Please be sure to include your estimated usage. FY 07/08 COMMODITIES: The Department of Education has distributed the remainder of your 08 entitlement. ADE recommends you utilize your entitlement dollars by April. PRICE INCREASES: We have been notified by Shamrock Foods to expect several price increases. Please note any price increases to ASPIN must be substantiated from the manufacturer. Any price increases meet the terms and conditions of our contract with Shamrock Foods. RAINBOW PRODUCE PRICES: Pricing for this week is included as an attachment to this update. SHAMROCK PRODUCE PRICES: Pricing for this week is included as an attachment to this update. PRODUCT UPDATE: A product update is included as an attachment to this update. MILK PRICING: Milk pricing for all counties from Shamrock Dairy for the month of April is included as an attachment to this update. MILK AND COLD STORAGE PRICING: Milk and Cold Storage pricing from Shamrock Foods for the month of April is included as an attachment to this update. We anticipate they will start ordering in April. We are looking forward to working once again with Cathy Getz! Welcome back Cathy and staff!
