of March 27, 2006 | ASPIN ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING: Mark your calendars! We are having our annual ASPIN Advisory Committee Meeting on Thursday, April 6th at 11:00 - 1 at Shamrock Foods Company, 2540 N. 29th Ave. Phoenix. We hope many of you can attend. We will be having a mini-food show! Brokers will be bringing products and specifications that meet the new Arizona Nutrition Standards. Your input will be very important to our bid renewal! Please RSVP to your ASPIN representative if you will be able to attend! ASPIN EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING: The next AEC meeting will take place at 10:00 in the Sahuaro Conference Room at Shamrock Foods Company on Thursday, April 6th. CORRECTION - PIERRE APPROVED FOR NET OFF INVOICE: Pierre Foods has ONLY been approved by ADE to participate in a test program for net off invoice program. We hope they will be approved for the 06/07 school year. EASTSIDE ENTREES: We are trying to have the “breakfast breaks” by Eastside Entrees stocked at Shamrock Foods. If you are interested in this product, please e-mail Bette with your approximate MONTHLY usage. (bette@mesc.org) UPCOMING SNAAZ EVENTS: Mark your calendars for the Industry Seminar. The annual Industry Seminar is scheduled in Chandler on April 20th and 21st. Registration materials for this event have been mailed to all districts. For more information, you can contact Lois Stansbury at 866-402-9038. ASPIN INVOICES: We are now current with our invoicing for Shamrock Foods! If you have any old Shamrock invoices that you have not received an ASPIN invoice for, please call Bette. ASPIN CPA ADDENDUM: PLEASE NOTE: Many of you have not yet submitted the revised CPA Addendum. It is important that all of our members are covered under the same agreement. The revised CPA Addendum can be downloaded from our website at http://www.mesc.org/aspin_signup.html. We will need each of you to bring this new CPA to your Governing Board for approval. Your current CPA Addendum will remain in effect until the new document is approved. of March 20 2006 | PIERRE APPROVED FOR NET OFF INVOICE: Pierre Foods has been approved by ADE to participate in the net off invoice program for the 06/07 school year. Shamrock will be carrying 6 pork items and 10 beef items. A list of these products is included as an attachment to this update. Stephanie has been a member of ASPIN for 8 years. She will bring a wealth of knowledge about ASPIN and school food service operations with her to the position.
