ASPIN
ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING: Mark your calendars! Our annual ASPIN
Advisory Committee Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April
28th at Shamrock Foods Company, 2540 N. 29th Ave. Phoenix. The
ASPIN Executive Committee meeting will start at 9:00 am with the
ASPIN Advisory Committee meeting starting at 10:00 am. We will
have a workshop scheduled from 11:00 to 12:00, lunch from 12:00
to 1:00 and another workshop scheduled from 1:00 to 2:00. This
is going to be a super event! We hope all of you can join us. Please
RSVP to your ASPIN representative if you can make it!
CHICKEN
PATTIES: Due to unusual demand for the Tyson chicken patties
we have on
bid, some of you had to receive an alternate product
this week. Shamrock is making every effort to get our product back
in stock. We apologize for any inconvenience.
PROCESSING SURVEYS: The “A” processing surveys were
due on March 21st. We submitted surveys for those members who requested
diverting their commodities. We should have the processing diversion
confirmations by mid-May.

MEMORANDUM REGARDING WHOLE GRAINS: On December 10, 2004, the
Arizona Department of Education issued
a memorandum regarding the
purchase of whole grain products. The AEC will address this issue
in our bid renewal for the 05/06 school year.
RAINBOW
PRODUCE PRICES: Pricing for this week has not been received from
Rainbow. We
will post the pricing on the website as soon as
we receive it.
SHAMROCK PRODUCE: Pricing for this week is included as an attachment
to this update.
US
FOODSERVICE DELIVERIES: The Department of Education sent a memorandum
to all school districts stating that their contract
with US Foodservice
for commodity delivery has a delivery window of 6:00 am to 2:30
pm. In this memo they state that the vendor may not be able to
meet specific delivery time requirements requested by a district.
It also states that the vendor is in compliance with the contract
as long as deliveries are made within the above noted time period.
COMMODITY
MEMORANDUM: The Arizona Department of Education has issued a
memo stating that the remaining 2005 entitlement has
been distributed.
The request you plan on utilizing your entitlement by April, 2005.

has extra G-Force Trail Mix Bars from United Commodity
Group. They
have 20 cases. They are packed 132 to a case. The product cost
