PRICING CHANGES: The following products will have a price increase effective February 26, 2005. These price increases meet the terms and conditions of our contract with Shamrock Foods Company. Pinto Beans, #2113391, Border - $17.40, State - $17.06, Valley - $16.73. Beans, triple cleaned, #2163251, Border - $22.99, State - $22.54, Valley - $22.10. Bleach, #8001361, Border - $9.48, State - $9.30, Valley - $9.12. Salt, iodized, #1930661, Border - $4.40, State - $4.31, Valley - $4.22. PRODUCT PACK SIZE CHANGES: The following frozen vegetables have a pack size change. The pricing remains the same per pound. Instead of 20#, the following items are now a 30# case. Mixed vegetables, #2230891, Valley - $15.33, State - $15.63, Border - $15.95. Frozen peas, #2230991, Valley - $16.23, State - $16.56, Border - $16.89. Peas and carrots, #2230931, Valley - $14.75, State, #15.05, Border - $15.35. Frozen corn, #2230851, Valley - $18.18, State - $18.72, Border - $19.10. PRODUCT CODE NUMBER CHANGES: The following products have new product code numbers, the pricing remains the same. Plate, foam, 9 in. OLD #1864221, NEW #2250861. Plate, foam, 9 in. 3 sect. OLD #1583001, NEW #2250901. Bowl, foam, 12 oz. OLD #1583021, NEW #2250891. ADE MEMORANDUM REGARDING WHOLE GRAINS: On December 10, 2004, the Arizona Department of Education issued a memorandum regarding the purchase of whole grain products. The AEC will address this issue in our bid renewal for the 05/06 school year. RAINBOW PRODUCE PRICES: Pricing for this week is included as an attachment to this update. SHAMROCK PRODUCE: Pricing for this week is included as an attachment to this update. DAIRY PRICING: Dairy pricing for all counties for the month of March is included as an attachment to this update. COLD STORAGE PRICING: Cold Storage pricing for the month of March is included as an attachment to this update. US FOODSERVICE DELIVERIES: The Department of Education sent a memorandum to all school districts stating that their contract with US Foodservice for commodity delivery has a delivery window of 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. In this memo they state that the vendor may not be able to meet specific delivery time requirements requested by a district. It also states that the vendor is in compliance with the contract as long as deliveries are made within the above noted time period. COMMODITY MEMORANDUM: The Arizona Department of Education has issued a memo stating that the remaining 2005 entitlement has been distributed. The request you plan on utilizing your entitlement by April, 2005. If you have any questions, contact Christine Bogle at 602-542-8781. EASTER COOKIES: Easter cookies are available for special order. We have pricing for #405205 - $24.10 and #405168 - $23.02. The description of these cookies is included as an attachment to this update.
