ARIZONA AWARDS BIDS FOR COMMODITY PROCESSING: The Arizona Department of Education has awarded bids to 41 companies for processed commodities. The awarded companies are listed in the commodity processing catalog on the ADE website. Also, when you complete your processing surveys, awarded companies for that product will be listed on the survey form. All Arizona school districts are eligible to use these contracts. Mohave Educational Services will be terminating their processed commodity contracts at the end of this school year. We are pleased the state was successful in awarding these contracts. If you have any questions, please call Bette.

UPCOMING AZSFSA EVENT: The Arizona School Food Service Association will be hosting their annual Professional Growth Seminar in Prescott on March 26th and 27th. Conference information was mailed in a special issue of Cactus Trails. If you are not a member of AzSFSA and would like to attend, call your ASPIN representative for registration information.

“ A” PROCESSING SURVEYS: The “A” processing surveys are due to the Department of Education on April 16, 2004. We will be faxing information to all ASPIN members as soon as we can about net-off invoice processing options we will have with Shamrock Foods next year.
