of October 29, 2007 | FOOD SALES WEST MEETING: Food Sales West is hosting a workshop on December 11th and 12th in Prescott. The show has a great agenda. AEC MEETING: The next meeting of the ASPIN Executive Committee is scheduled for 9:00 on Monday, November 5th at the Grand Canyon School District. All ASPIN members are welcome to attend. DIRECTOR OF OUTREACH AND EDUCATION: Mohave Educational Services is pleased to announce that Mark Kinsey will be joining the Mohave team as the Director of Outreach and Education starting November 5th. Mark comes to us from the Marana Unified School District. Please join us in welcoming him to Mohave. ASPIN OFFICE CLOSED: The ASPIN office will be closed on Monday, November 12th in observance of Veteran’s Day. Please work with your ASPIN representative when scheduling orders. MEMBER PURCHASE VOLUME: ASPIN members purchased over 7.1 million dollars with Shamrock Foods for the first quarter of the school year! Our members earned over 88 thousand dollars in quick pay discounts for the period! ASPIN HOLDING FUND: Bette or Steven will be in touch with you if we need to make an adjustment in your ASPIN holding fund. Many of you have experienced growth and are purchasing at a greater rate than previous years. As you know, our cooperative purchasing agreement requires our members to have 4 to 6 weeks worth of purchase volume in the ASPIN holding fund. If we need to increase your holding fund, Bette or Steven will be contacting you over the next week or two. 1ST QUARTER VOLUME INCENTIVE DISCOUNTS: Our members earned $55,543.89 in volume incentive discounts from Shamrock Foods for the first quarter! These discounts will be reflected on a future ASPIN invoice for Shamrock Foods purchases. Coupled with our quick pay discounts, our members earned over $143,000 in discounts for the first quarter! This is our annual event bringing Mohave vendors and members together. This year we will be focusing on the Mohave process change that will start in January 08. It is important to note that the Mohave process changes DOES NOT affect ASPIN. Visit our website for registration information. Please be sure to pass this information on to your purchasing department. This is a conference they don’t want to miss!
