USDA FINAL RULES: The USDA has issued the Final Rules for the National School Lunch Program and the National School Breakfast Program. The ASPIN staff is busy reviewing the rules. We will make adjustments to our contract offerings in the 12/13 school year as directed by the ASPIN Executive Committee. ALTERNATE BRANDS: Due to the number of price increases we have received, ASPIN has requested Shamrock Foods seek alternate manufacturers on these products in an effort to attain better pricing. Shamrock's response is due back to ASPIN on February 3rd.

DISCOUNTED PRICING: Shamrock Foods has discounted the price on two Dave's Bakery products. They have significant inventory of these two products. The following pricing is available on these products until the aged inventory has been depleted.

• #3089831 – IW donuts – Valley, $22.53, State, $23.03
• #3090051 – IW Blueberry loaves – Valley, $13.20, State, $13.50

The discounted pricing is reflected in the Amphire ordering system. When the surplus inventory has been depleted, the pricing will revert back to the original contract price.
