What is the ASPIN Maintenance Fee?
The ASPIN Maintenance Fee is based on members’ annual purchases with Shamrock Foods. The Mohave Board of Trustees determines the fee percentage. The Maintenance Fee covers the cost of operations for ASPIN.
 
What is the ASPIN Holding Fund?
The ASPIN Holding fund is a one-time deposit made by the member to fund payment to Shamrock Foods for member purchases. ASPIN pays Shamrock Foods within 10 days of receipt of goods for all member districts. The holding fund needs to be adequate to cover a minimum of four weeks worth of purchases. When a member leaves the cooperative, the Holding Fund plus interest earned is refunded to the member.

Each July we send the ASPIN Interest Computation Worksheet to our members.
 
Why do I pay Shamrock Dairy, Holsum Bakery and Rainbow Produce directly?
The only vendor ASPIN pays for member purchases is Shamrock Foods. When a district joins ASPIN, we notify the vendors the district is eligible for ASPIN contract pricing. We post the pricing on our website so members can verify contract pricing.
 
Why do I need a new CPA Addendum?
Mohave revised the ASPIN CPA Addendum to only include contractual issues. We have asked all members to bring the revised Addendum to their Governing Board for approval in order to have all members under the same agreement.
 
Do you have nutrition labels?
The ASPIN Office has many nutrition labels on file. We forward this information to our members based on their requests. ASPIN is working with Shamrock Foods in order to develop a database for nutrition labels.
 
I need a special product for a catered event. Does Shamrock Foods carry it?
The ASPIN Member Service Representatives have access to all products Shamrock Foods distributes. We work with our members to choose the most appropriate product.
 
When will this item be picked up and credited?
We ask our members to fax us a request for pick up and credit memo. We forward this to Shamrock Foods. It usually takes two weeks to process a credit and/or pick up request.
 
Can you send me the Shamrock invoices that coincide with this ASPIN invoice?
ASPIN downloads copies of signed invoices for all members. We send the invoices to the members if corrections are made to the invoice by ASPIN staff. We always have the back up documentation if our members need it.
 
Does this product meet the new Arizona Nutrition Standards?
ASPIN is working with Shamrock Foods and brokers to develop a comprehensive list of products that meet the Arizona Nutrition Standards. It is important to note that the ANS applies ONLY to items sold a la carte.
 
Do you know where my delivery truck is?

We work with the Transportation Department at Shamrock Foods to verify time of delivery. Sometimes there are incidents when the truck is late. We work with Shamrock to locate the truck and inform the member when they can expect the delivery.
